The results show that the addition of trace Sc can not improve obviously the strength and ductility of 2197 alloy; δ′(Al_3Li), θ′(Al_2Cu) and T1 (Al_2CuLi) phases are still main strengthening phases in the So-containing alloy, Al_3Sc particles and composite Al_3Sc/Al_3Li particles are precipitated in the Sc-containing alloys.
